SAN FRANCISCO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOST THE 17TH ANNUAL SMALL BUSINESS WEEK, PRESENTED BY BANK OF AMERICA

The 17th Annual San Francisco Small Business Week will celebrate San Francisco鈥檚 strong, vibrant small business community on May 3-7, 2021. Programming will focus on meaningful resources and information for small business owners at every point in their small business journey.

San Francisco, CA – As our businesses begin to reopen and the local economy is reinvigorated, the 乌鸦传媒 is excited to host the 17th Annual San Francisco Small Business Week. Rodney Fong, 乌鸦传媒 President & CEO, says, 鈥淥ur San Francisco small business community has faced true hardships over this last year, but we have proven how resilient and vibrant our small businesses can be. Our residents have stepped up throughout the pandemic to support their beloved neighborhood businesses – that sentiment should be celebrated during Small Business Week and throughout the year. I look forward to this year鈥檚 San Francisco Small Business Week as an opportunity to help our small businesses as we look towards a recovery.鈥

San Francisco Small Business Week will kick-off with InspireSF: Roots of Recovery on Monday, May 3rd at 12pm, honoring and celebrating small businesses. The program includes a welcome from the 乌鸦传媒 and Bank of America, remarks by Mayor London Breed, an inspiring keynote featuring Small Business owner Lawanda Dickerson, and an in-depth conversation with San Francisco business leaders as they reflect on the past 12 months of the COVID-19 pandemic and what is in store for our City’s recovery.

“Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has decimated many of our small businesses. Throughout it all, business owners and their employees have shown tremendous resilience and strength, with many adapting their business models and implementing public health guidelines,鈥 said Mayor London N. Breed. 鈥淲ith more businesses and activities reopening and more people getting vaccinated each day, the future for our City is bright. We all need to do our part to ensure our small businesses can recover and keep moving forward. The 乌鸦传媒’s programming for Small Business Week will provide San Francisco’s small businesses with resources and support to help them stay open and come back even stronger than before.鈥

Between May 3rd and May 7th, the 乌鸦传媒, with the support of Bank of America and a variety of small business partner organizations, will highlight networking opportunities, business-building workshops, and inspirational events. The week-long event serves to educate and empower entrepreneurs who are just getting started or those continuing to grow their small businesses in San Francisco.

Due to recent health guidelines, all events will be virtual. Despite the change of venue, the 乌鸦传媒 and presenting sponsor, Bank of America, believe these events offer invaluable experiences. 鈥淲ith more than 1,500 local small business owners and entrepreneurs of all ages, genders and ethnic groups set to attend this week-long event, there will be countless opportunities for networking and valuable lessons shared as part of the Bank of America educational webinar [which will] offer insightful information and connect these hard-working individuals to dedicated small business specialists for helpful advice and guidance.鈥 Bank of America鈥檚 resource webinar, Reimagine Your Business Journey to Embrace Bold New Ideas, will take place on May 5th at 10am.
