In less than two months, San Francisco is going to be front and center on the world’s stage. Thewill draw leaders from 21 member economies, SF’s biggest international event in decades.

APEC is a regional economic forum established in 1989 to promote economic integration. As a grouping, it makes up 38% of the global population, 50% of GDP and 48% of trade, serving as a significant driver of economic growth..

As many as 30,000 visitors are expected – including two dozen heads of state, a thousand CEOs, and hundreds of foreign journalists; with an anticipated “$50 million of direct economic impact to the city,” – Rodney Fong, SF Chamber President & CEO.

During the week ofAPEC, the ѻý, in partnership with San Francisco Mayor London Breed, hosted over a thousand global media for an immersive and innovative arts experience. Blending the enchanting with the groundbreaking, the ѻý proudly accepted the Mayor’s invitation to join the Media Reception at City Hall. Aligning with the Mayor’s “City of Firsts” theme, during the Media Reception, the Chamber and presenting sponsor unveiled the Innovation Zone – a space designed to celebrate and highlight San Francisco’s vibrant culture of pioneering innovations and sustainable solutions.
